Yeah, most people have the "it's okay to warp, as long as I'm the only one who can do it" mentality. Cheating is fine as long as nobody else is (or if I'm turning a profitTinman wrote:Thanks for the reply Lax. I understand where you're coming from, and how annoying people can be. I have't bothered posting prior to today, because I've been able to find most of the answers to my questions, and I have little desire to be ridiculed on a message board. However, after repeated searches through the forums and the wiki led invariably to broken links when I attemted to find information on how to determine off-sets myself, it was incredibly discouraging to finally read today that not was all that information intentionally removed, it was removed with the express desire to lower the popularity of MQ2.
Man, that's frustrating. To do exactly what you've asked newbs to do, and find that the reason you are unsuccessful is due to an intentional removal of information.

Actuly I find its more of a trust thing. I would give any plugin I use to most of my friends as I trust them to use it responsably. Well not any of my friends, but a good portion of them.cronic wrote:Yeah, most people have the "it's okay to warp, as long as I'm the only one who can do it" mentality. Some of the plugins actually available cannot be used responsably at all, since they re made to allow you to accomplish things witch cannot be called responsable at all.Actuly I find its more of a trust thing. It depends on how you define responsibly, really. It could be argued that no form of cheating is responsible. I do agree that there are some things out there (nothing that I posess, certainely) that cannot be used in any way that would be considered responsible.wizzyman wrote:Some of the plugins actually available cannot be used responsably at all, since they re made to allow you to accomplish things witch cannot be called responsable at all.Actuly I find its more of a trust thing. Anyway, is there a method, or a person to talk to about becoming, or helping out the dev's? I figure if I were to be a reserve, or secondary dev, you could pass along some small things the dev's may not have time for, or havent gotten to yet and if I fix it first great, and if I dont, oh well, you would have done it yourself anyway.
I'm an old C programmer, so I'm more comfortable with your plugins then I am with the scripting language. Oh and I plan to get the perl plugin up and working, but havent really taken the time to dig into it yet, any pointers?
Yall stay cool!
