Macro to check vendors for specific items

Post by boboj » Sat Jan 01, 2005 2:38 am

I thought i saw one like this not to long ago in the depot, but i can't for the life of me find anything about it now.
Any ideas or links to a macro that would check the vendors in a zone for specific items?
thanks

Are you talking about one that catalogs everything a particular vendor sells? There's a mac made for checking what spells a vendor has for sale, but I don't think there's one that keeps a log of every item a vendor has for sale.

In essence it would be a flawed listing anyway, as people sell a lot of cash loot to vendors, sometimes loot that other vendors may legitimately sell like spells and whatnot.

yea i saw that .mac, what i am talking about is i have a list of say spell research words and components and the macro checks the vendors and buys what i have on my to buy list. This would be for npc vendors, not baz traders. I prolly just miss read a description.

just starting on research skill myself and something like that would be nice, but impossible to keep up on prolly. Most people sell there words and pages to vendors and that list of what the vendor has would change constantly running around to each one non stop updating changes. At that point your right back to where you started without the macro. What I would like to see and do not even know if it is possible is a plugin or macro that will show you what pages and numbers you have in inventory/bank so you know what to look for on the vendors. I"m gonna keep searching hoping I find something like that since it might already exist.

I don't think he wants a list of vendors that sell specific items. Sounds like he wants a macro that will go to vendor A, search for all items that match his shopping list and buy them, move on to vendor B, rinse, repeat.

i always used /note or a piece of paper really hehe, but a plugin to just read and edit an ini so you can display it would be nice and clean way to do it.
