MQ2 and european server

Post by FLG711 » Sat Feb 26, 2005 2:34 pm

Hello. I play on European server.

As you know it, we are late on you, compared to the patch of updated.

Thus I would like to know how to get a version of MQ2 to me which is synchronous with our version of EQ?

Afflicted for the faults, but I do not speak the English language very well.

We couldn't tell ;)

If you want to know what MQ2 to use, we need to know what version of EQ your server is using. If you try to run MQ2, it will create DebugSpew.log. Inside this will be two lines like this:

Code: Select all

Expected Client version: Feb 14 2005 12:06:17
    Real Client version: ???????????????
Paste those two lines, and someone will be able to help you

Which server are you talking about ? Antonius Bayle and Kane Bayle are updated at the same time as all the US based servers. There should be no MQ2/EQ synchronization problems - unless you use MQ2 just after an eqgame.exe update by Sony and MQ2 hasn't caught up yet (damm US based developers wanting sleep again ).

I do not find DebugSpew.log files.

Do I have a parameter of configuration to modify to have logs?

I play on Sebilis or Venril Sathir. Thank you for time devoted to answer me :)

Bah. Yeah you would have to turn on debug spew I suppose. Someone else can tell you how to do that

Venril Sathir uses the American version, so you could use MQ2 fine on VS.

Just had to think for a second. Go into the InI file and turn DebugSpew = 1 and it will give you the log.

Ok.

I found the lines in question and I obtain this:

[ MQ2]Expected Customer version: Feb 14 2005 12:06:17
[ MQ2] Real Client version: "

this " " " appears as a code bars

lol I don't understand this language.

You might need to create a directory in release for your logs. Logs normaly go in /release/logs.
