High End Berserker Macro

Post by superslam » Sat Jan 22, 2005 3:47 pm

I've been a board troll for a while, but I can't seem to find a high end berserker macro. I'm not looking for something to box a berserker, just more of a lazy berserker tool like the rogue one that I've seen.

I would attempt to edit the rogue one, but honestly I don't think I have the coding experience to do so. If someone could help me out with that, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Well if you get more specific on what you want I can see what I can do. But remember that work has already been done on the Rogue Helper script. So you would probably be better to just take that script and edit it a little. It is not hard to do slight tweaks to it to make it what you need it to do.

But if you are looking for something different just to do SOME things for you automatically then post that and I am sure something can happen there.

ok, I basically want it to do the following:

assist the tank
stay behind the mob
frenzy (like backstab or kick)
snare when the mob is at 15%, resnare if it fails.
stun if the tank's hps get below 25%.
Summon more axes (which are components for the snare and stun abilities) if they run out.

Maybe go down the line of classes left alive in case the tank dies, and try to tank if you're the highest tank alive say something in /g about being the tank, pop riposte disc, chain stun, that type of thing.

also, I'd like something I could customize to keep up, fabled jboots, ornate gloves haste, AoN or Crown of Deceit, Bracer of the Hidden, Ornate BP, ring 10, and shrunken gobby earring for right clickies.

If you know nothing about the berserker class and need more info, I can give you more specifics, I just don't know what exactly you need to know.

also if there's something in there to keep from breaking mezes and things of that nature. Make sure to stop if the mob is mezed and only restart when the tank restarts.

Ok where do I start first.. This is a good start but you are going to need to give me a little more information then this.. Let me bust it down for you

assist the tank
Not a problem, this can be done
stay behind the mob
Not a problem, this can be done
frenzy (like backstab or kick)
Is this a skill or a spell? I dont know shit about Bezerkers More information on this.. How do you use this?
snare when the mob is at 15%, resnare if it fails.
Is this a spell? Or a skill? Or what? Explain it
stun if the tank's hps get below 25%.
Not a problem if I know how your axes work
Summon more axes (which are components for the snare and stun abilities) if they run out.
Well once again how do you do this?
Maybe go down the line of classes left alive in case the tank dies, and try to tank if you're the highest tank alive say something in /g about being the tank, pop riposte disc, chain stun, that type of thing.
So you want to check the whole group and if you are the highest tank? WTF does that mean? Beserkers arnt tanks.. What is the order of what you consider tanks?
also, I'd like something I could customize to keep up, fabled jboots, ornate gloves haste, AoN or Crown of Deceit, Bracer of the Hidden, Ornate BP, ring 10, and shrunken gobby earring for right clickies.
Not a problem list me all the gear names that you want clicked to keep that shit up and what spell they cast.

Frenzy is a skill, it works on a timer like kick or backstab or bash. You just click it and it gives a chance to do 1 - 3 extra small attacks, but it's an ability that you click everytime it pops up. I think it pops every 20 seconds or so.

Snare is odd to explain if you've never played a berserker.
I have a stackable component that I carry in my bags called "Axe Component"
I use an ability (sort of like a spell, it comes up in the combat abilities screen, like disciplines) called "Rage Axe." The rage axe ability turns one of these Axe Components into a stack of "Rage Axe." So basically, 1 axe component (which is stackable) yields 20 Rage Axes.
The Rage Axes are used as a sort of reagent for stuns, snares, and jolts.

The Stun ability is called Head Crush.
The Snare ability is called Leg Slice.
The Jolt ability is called Confusing Strike.

Each work the same way, they're instant cast, have 12 second reuse timers and consume a rage axe upon use.

This is a macro that I would want to use for xp group type situations, if there is a bad pull or a named mob aggros and the tank drops or a heal fizzles, I can take over and tank in some instances... if nothing else, I can buy time while the wizard evacs or whatever. This isn't like, "Make a macro to make me tank," it's more of a "do something if the tank dies that might not mean the group is instantly dead." The spirit of this part of the request is that if I'm in a group with a Warrior, Cleric, Wizard, Enchanter, Rogue, and Me... if the warrior goes, I'm the only thing left with a snowball's chance in hell of tanking the mob down. And for the order I'd consider tanks... again, I don't know how to code, but I've read some of the macros, so maybe it could do something like:

Is there a warrior alive in the group?
if no, then,
Is there a shadow knight alive in the group in the group?
if no, then,
Is there a paladin alive in the group?
If no, then,
Chain stun to get aggro, tell the group "that you're tanking since the other tanks aren't alive and that they need to either burn the mob down or evac", and pop riposte disc (riposte disc is called "Reckless Discipline") when you get the aggro.

If this part of the request is not possible, that's cool, I just read some code somewhere that I thought resembled something like this. I think it was part of the rogue helper for choosing who the MA is or something. Nonetheless, if it's not doable, that's cool too.

Here is a list of the clicky items that I'd like to keep up and the spells that they cast:
I keep most of these items bagged except for when I'm actually clicking them. Is it possible to have the macro equip the items, click them, then put them back in the bag slot that they came from?

Fabled Journeyman's Boots: Bootstrider's Blessing (Instant, self targetting) [inventory clickable or equippable on the foot slot, still bagged sometimes]]

Bracer of the Hidden: See Invisible (Instant, must target self first) [must equip on wrist, always bagged unless being clicked]

Ring of Dain Frostreaver IV: Frostreaver's Blessing (Instant, self targetting) [currently equipped, but must be equipped on finger slot]

Amulet of Necropotence: Illusion: Skeleton (Instant, self targetting) [clickable from inventory slot, my class / race cannot equip this item, normally in a bag] or
Crown of Deceit: Illusion: Feir`dal (6.0 cast time, self targetting) [clickable from an inventory slot or can be equipped on head, normally in a bag]

Jymall's Tunic of Frenzy: Shield of the Arcane (6.0 cast time, self targetting) [must equip to chest, currently equipped, but would be nice to check bags first, so it's still useful if I get an upgrade] <== if Wunshi's Focusing/Focus of Spirit/Focus of the Seventh isn't already on.

Jymall's Gloves of Frenzy: Miraculous Visions (3.0 cast time, self targetting) [must equip on hands slot, currently equipped, but would be nice to check bags first, so it's still useful if I get an upgrade] <== if Vallon's Quickening/Speed of Vallon/Speed of Salik isn't already on.

Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring: Grim Aura (Instant, self targetting) [must equip on ear slot, always in a bag] <== if Spiritual Vigor/Strength of Tunare/Spirit of the Hunter isn't already on.

If there's anything else ya'd need to know, lemme know.

Actually on second thought, that part about taking over aggro if there's no tank in the group would make the macro completely useless on raids. Should probably either scratch that, or make it easy to comment out if you decide to put it in.

It died for a reason...

Time to start ripping macros to learn and then asking for help when you hit roadblocks.

I've been fuckin around with the rh macro for a while and getting it whittled down to what I actually use. It's much better than the "berzerker macro" that's posted in the other section, definately a higher-tech macro to start with.

As soon as I get it finished (to the point where it needs to be for the community, not just for me) then I'll submit it.

I still think aChallenged1 is a fuckin douchebag and should get hit by a truck irl, but that probably just made his ePenis grow a whole pixel. Anyway, I'll hit you guys back as soon as I get the macro finished.

I've got a working rogue helper converted to berserker working fine. I'll post it in the VIP forums this weekend.
