Post by Learion » Wed Aug 11, 2004 5:55 pm

Just wondering, is the MQ updated earlier today still working?

Judging by this post, probably not as well as the author intended. /sigh

YOu want to know what... I get so freaking sick of these same stupid assed questions being asked every single time a patch happens.

This crap pisses off devs, pisses off the people that help with MQ2, and only invites more morons to come and ask the same question the next time a patch happens.

I vote that the people who come here asking this question on a patch day gets a 30 day ban from the site from now on.

Answer to your question is most likely yes since I dont remember seeing a new eqgame.exe coming in.

If MQ2 isn't working for you it is because Sony knows that you are using it... I wouldn't play EQ if I were you from now on...

Woah, I asked a fair enough question, eqgame.exe was patched today and I noticed so was MQ2 but I don't know the timezone so I can't determine whether it was modified after or before the emergency patch.

Some of you are too fucking full of yourselves.

MQ2 is a text file saying that MQ2 no longer works because of the patch... but of course, you wouldn't know that.

Hold on, since you are too lazy to download the zip file and find out what it says, I'm going to post the ENTIRE zip file for you:

Thank you,

So the answer to your question is, yes, for most of us, but for you, apparently not.

Did you read the manual? Maby search the board?? If you would have or even checked other posts that have been posted since this morning you would understand why people are mad. Pick any patch date now go and search for a post made on that date your going to find atleast 4 posts asking MQ2 isnt working. It gets fucking tiring when somone just comes in and cant take the 4 secs to find the answer them selves.

If you dont like the way people are treating you leave one less person posting MQ2 doesnt work.

O and you will see a post saying when mq2 has been updated if you would have just receved the file and read the txt (posted above) you wouldnt have needed to waste peoples time

It is quite obvious that our brain child here didn't read some of the necessary materials. What reading materials might those be, aChallenged one(?), you might ask. Well I'll tell you.

1. The sticky in the forums about patch days.

2. The 2 threads, one in MQ2's Help and the other in BUG REPORT forums.

3. THE FUCKING MANUAL YOU WERE TOO FUCKING LAZY TO READ AND INSTEAD CAME HERE AND POSTED THIS BULLSHIT!

(Please forgive my agression, I've been good for a few weeks and haven't done this quite so blatantly since I was told enough was enough... this just begs it though and we all know it.)

So let me post once again a direct quote from the manual, which can be found in the HELP.CHM file from the first page bottom where there is a link.
When there is a patch to the EverQuest eqgame.exe be sure check the forums to see if there has been a change to MacroQuest2.

DO NOT visit the MQ2 website and post that MQ2 is broken on a patch day if a new eqgame.exe was pushed.

You have been warned!!!
Straight from the FM.

Yeah, some of the people here are so full of themselves. Others, like you, are just full of shit. I'd rather be full of myself. Now go tug on that sliver of meat you call a dick to your daddies p0rnz and go away.
Fuck writing MQ2 macros. Go with IS scripts; IS Rules!
