Well, since MQ2 is licencend under the GPL, and lots of people have the source still, anyone with CVS write permission can add the source for those two plugins back.
I find it rather rude that a developer would remove code that way. I do empathise with the deveopers for feeling frustrated and whatnot, but that was not the right thing to do. IF you don't want to continue to contribute to the project, fine... wholesale deleting code from an open-source project licenced under the GPL is peobably a bad move however.

And the more people complain about him removing it will piss him off anymore and then "Poof!", no more updates. Just let it go while some of us still actually appreciate the hard work that was put into this so some of us can enjoy the game again.
Plus it has been very interesting to start learning C++ now. No better way to learn than by following current examples and having a forum to check stuff back and forth.

Actually, as Lax is the one holding the copyright for said code, he can change the lisence to whatever the fuck he wants and release any new versions under that lisence.
Yes, you can do whatever you like (within the GPL, of course) with the old versions.
And how the hell is it rude to of him to discontinue public releases of his own fucking code? The only thing rude here is fucktards like you complaining about it.
Please die, thx.

I have a very good reason to hate PayPal. Several reasons actually. The main one being they won't let me have access to my original account. I wanted to pay for the use of this but until I get this fixed, it's not gonna happen.
Unless of course you guys would just add an option to pay thru a secure credit card thingie. That would be cool. I'm sure there are many out there like me who absolutely despise paypal for one reason or another.

there has to be a reason why they wont give you acess to your original account. I have had my account for quiet some time now with no problems.
Adding a direct pay CC option to the webpage costs $ and usually a monthly fee paypal does not.

They won't give me access because when i first got the account (over a year ago) i was at a different address/phone number. Since I can't provide the old address or phone number they won't let me into the old account.
Their policy on password resets is way too strict.

No it isn't. In this day and age where people are having thier credit totally trashed due to identity theft the minimal requirements of paypal for changing password are far from inconvenient. Infact, they are less than they should be, IMO. But they have to balance it out.
I'm surprised you don't have anything to show/reminde you what your old address was. I'm also surprised that you didn't think to ask a family member if they remember or have written down both your old address and phone number. I know my mother and grandmother both can get that info for me if I needed it.

Excuse me... I would be the one who wrote the original project and am the one who put the project under the GPL... Any derived works are thus subject to the GPL.
As an MS employee once said, the GPL is like cancer...
