It looks like the changelog box that pops up every time you log on needs bright flashing lights for people to read it.

Added command to MQ2FPS:
/render <fg|bg> <#|~#>
Sets the foreground or background rendering rate. This is how many out of n frames MQ2FPS
will allow to be drawn. You keep moving full speed, the client responds to mouse or keys,
the UI is still drawn... but, the world itself will not be drawn as often.
Use with ~ to draw n-1 out of n frames, or without to draw 1 out of n frames.
e.g. /render bg ~3 will draw 2 out of 3 frames. /render bg 3 will draw 1 out of 3 frames.

It's a good thing. This way if EQ is minimized, it's not lagging up your system.

I hear EQ lags less when you uninstall it

Step 1) Scroll up
Step 2) Read yal's second post
Step 3) If you didn't fix your problem goto step 1

This isn't rocket science

wow are you a really big fuckin moron

"EQ lags whenever im doing something else" - e.g. EQ is in the background

EQ doesnt fucking lag. The world doesnt get redrawn every frame, this is so your computer isnt wasting your CPU making EQ display the world while you're doing something else entirely. This makes it FLICKER (once per second by default) when it is drawn, and is what you are calling "lag". I assure you that EQ is running at absolutely FULL SPEED. Your character moves at full speed, the UI runs at full speed, you do everything at full speed. Think of it like you're watching that EQ window using a strobe light. It goes dark for a second, then the strobe flash hits and your visualization of whats going on gets updated... it's like slow motion, but everything is still most definitely running at full speed.

With MQ2 off, you cant 4-box without lagging unless you're running EQPlayNice... in which case you get the same effect because its a god damn feature that helps you fucking 4-box. Why, you ask, is this? Because EQ takes up 100% of your CPU cycles, it doesnt ever let up. Each EQ session has a battle royale with the others, and is fighting to the death with no holds barred. With EQPN or MQ2 (MQ2FPS specifically), EQ sits in the corner while we whip its ass. It speaks only when spoken to, and doesn't chew with its mouth open. If you want a battle royale, go right afuckin head and unload MQ2FPS, but dont come crying to me when your CPU melts.

Get a fucking clue and/or change the rendering rate, as fucking pasted to you. "/refresh bg 1" will cause EQ to draw every frame in the background, even though you may not see it. I really suggest leaving it default, though. It's not "lagging" or hurting anything. You just dont see it as well.
