I'm crashing to server select consistently within about 5 minutes of being online with MQ2 on. I tried redownloading the zip, re-compiling in a seperate directory.. but no luck.. still crash.
Is this an isolated incident, or are they (sony) somehow detecting it and booting me to server select screen?

Somethings up there bro but its not MQ. I am running the latest zip from both 98SE and XP with no problems. If you are using a /docrack plugin or something of that nature, all bets are off.

I have this same problem. I finally figured out that the latest version of aol instant messenger crashes me randomly. If i turn off aim while playing eq, it will crash me one more time and then stop. So I have to remembr to close aim before logging into eq. I dont know why it does this possibly this new version of aim is doing something to my memory at random possibly spyware? I know a few other people with this problem as well.

Any form od IM's will do it, too.
Do you have a Belkin router? Thos epieces of shit will do it, period.

Lol, I have Magelo update and Emule running as I type, while doing an expedition in GoD.
No problems here :)

I'm running a Belkin router and have had absolutely no problems with it...other than the fact I've got lead paint in my house ....blah...wireless sucks because of that.

Delete (or move) your entire MQ source. The only file you want to keep is your macroquest.ini, dispose of the rest.
Get a new source and compile.
Now, before you run MQ at all, start EQ and have it do a full file check. Let me ammend that: go to your EQ directlry and delete all TXC files. Those are the texture cache files, and problems there can cause other problems.
Delete those, then do a full file check on EQ.
Then try playing EQ for a bit without MQ.
First thing to do is to make sure it is not EQ itself that is the problem.
If EQ is stable, try it again with the new build of MQ.

Also, are you using a US server, and is it a blue server or pvp?
