Con/faction status possible?

Post by DreamKing » Sun Jan 11, 2004 6:48 am

Was thinking the other day that having the con status (faction status.. whatever it's called) in the target window would be nice, as well. Meaning, when the mob is targeted, it would display Amiable, Indifferent, Scowl, etc in the target box without having to hit the 'C' key. Is that something MQ can do?

It would be nice, but I've never seen this sent to the client when working with various configurations of SuperWho. You can get con color, based on level, but not actual faction from $target. If the devs wanted to add a con to the superwho, then it might be possible...(or have MQ automatically /con upon target?)

Yeah...auto-con upon target would be the best way, methings. Adding it to swho would result in sending a shitload of con request if you did something like /who all npc. That would be bad.

Personally, I would not want my screen spammed with con info, though, everyt time I changed my target. Especially since I'm constantly swapping targets while buffing or grouping. MQ would have to squelch the output, unless 'c' or /con or right-click...store it in memory which can be called by $target(con) or something.

Make the request. Who knows what will come of it. :)

I think someone posted to this before. From what they were saying there is a request sent to the server every time you con something. So it'd probably be a bad thing to con alot. :D

Just a thought. I thought I read somewhere awhile ago it may have been stored server side and wasn't sent until requested but I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly. If it can't be easily added then it's not worth it. I don't want anything spammed to my chat box.
