Yeah, the majority of the posts for unworking macros are from people with 1 post count or logged on as Guest. It just seems silly that people are posting untested macros there.

If there's a macro up that I want (IE: Recently I wanted a broken macro from swapping instruments/weapons on a bard easily), I actually enjoy taking the broken version and tearing it apart to get it to work. You learn some stuff too, that you NEED to know if you want to be involved with this project. 3/4 of these macros you will need to customize for your own play style/class/hotbuttons/etc. So, playing with a broken macro to fix it is a great way to learn. I like the way they're bundled together. It's like a secondary measure at keeping the village idiots away. People who use this program should be able to (after a week or two of using it) be able to take a midly broken macro and make it work in less than 10 minutes, depending on the complexity of the macro. I believe in open source and everyone having a chance at working with this program, but I also believe in taking every precaution to keep the idiots away and making the full potential of this program difficult enough to achieve that you have to be persistant and willing to learn to get to that point. No free rides.MrSmallie wrote:Can we have a read only forum for working macros. Maybe let the author update them as needed....
