macros stop responding problem

ive set up a macro to go every time i attack and shuts off when im done attacking.

after awhile it just stops ane seems to not respond

i canT start it back up.. but i caN stop it.

if i do "/macro atk.mac" nothing happens. doesnt even /echo anything.

if i do "/endmacro" i get:

All macro variables and timers cleared.
The Current macro has ended.

is it possible from running the same macro over and over? probally ran it close to 60 times. or a possible bug. i also cant run any other macros either.

I've done this before:

run MQ from the wrong folder, and update ones in the current folder

also, try /filter macros all

and not sure what you mean by run it from the wrong folder and update the current one.

i only have 1 copy of MQ and its the most recent.

everything works fine.. but after awhile the /macro command doesnt work. i cant run any macros but i can stop them.

the only way to fix it is to reload MQ but that means ive got to /camp desktop and relog in every hour.

i am running MQ in eqw.. it might be due to alt + tab ing to diff windows.. could that have anythign to do with it?

everything works great until an hour or 2 into running macros and it just doesnt work. /macro (macro name) doesnt do anything. it doesnt seem to be processing commands.

hehe. might not be the same problem, but i know i had this and a friend of mine who i sent a nice macro to.

does your macro make calls to any other macros (e.g.routines.mac or spellsub.mac and the like)

If so, make sure u have these installed in the same directory as the macro u r running.

yeah, uses routines.mac and there in the same directory

thing is it actually works.. but then just poops.

my guess is from starting and stopping the macro and maybe even from stopping the macro in the middle of its loops.

i reset and changed how it works now.

i put in the macroquest.ini

/onattack /echo attacking on
/offattack /echo attacking off

then made events to catch

[macrosquest] attacking on and [macrosquest] attacking off in my text.

then in the script main it does a loop i got from the cleric.mac one

a:
/doevents
/goto :a

so it runs all the time. if it catches the attacking on it starts the fight sub. and stops if it sees attacking off.

so far so good! so im guessing the starting and stopping of the macro over and over is what made it mess up.
