/loadskin crashes

Post by Plazmic » Sat Nov 08, 2003 10:21 pm

The /loadskin command crashes, we know that...
The map is causing it... Add the line in red to fix it...

Code: Select all

class CDisplay
{
public:
	VOID Trampoline_CleanGameUI(VOID);
	VOID Detour_CleanGameUI(VOID)
	{
 FunctionEntry("CDisplay::Detour_CleanGameUI()");
 ClearMapAllocs();
 FreeChatWindow();
 Trampoline_CleanGameUI();
 FunctionExit("CDisplay::Detour_CleanGameUI()");
	}
};

And in other news Teh_ish is starting a church to worship Plazmic.

Thank you! Damn this will make life so much easier if I don't have to worry about crashing every 6th loadskin or whatever.

I'm not sure this solved the problem.

Hmm wonder what's going on with mine then. I'm doing /loadskin a LOT, twice crashed (well, eq says "gui error, see uierrors.txt") even after the change

I've seen the "GUI Errors" crash even before the new label things and with just regular custom UI stuff hehe

I think it is EQ, not MQ.

I used /loadskin alot when customizing my UI without MQ running and the client crashes quite a bit, but only after a large number of /loadskin commands.

Not sure if I imagined it or not, but try zoning after every 10-12 /loadskin commands and it seemed to cut down on the crashes alot.

I'm also getting crashes when doing /loadskin. I got 3 of them in 30 minutes. This is with the latest zip.
