Labels?

Post by wassup » Sat Nov 08, 2003 8:39 am

Can we add our own label definitions to this:
2000: $target(level)
2001: $target(class)
2002: $target(race)
2003: $target(distance)
2004: $target(lastattacked)
2005: $target(state)
2006: $target(x)
2007: $target(y)
2008: $target(z)
2009: $target(heading)
2010: $target(speed)
2011: $target(name,clean)
2012: $target(id)
or do we have to add it in the Cusatom section?
<EQType>2011</EQType>
<TooltipReference>$target(name,clean)</TooltipReference>
<EQType>2012</EQType>
<TooltipReference>$target(id)</TooltipReference>

The way the custom section works is you do EQType 9999 and then the tooltip you put in what you want. It's not a permanent define, it's just for that object.

In regards to adding more, yes you can compile more into your version of MQ, but I think it'd be better to suggest additions in the thread and a dev can periodically add them so everyone has use of 'em. It's important to try and keep everyone sync'd, so that UIs can be traded and such :)

Since we are defining all the lables for $ varibles would it be possible to define a limited set of user controllable varibles? Maybe $UiT0 -$UiT9 and $UiP0-$UiP9 ? It doet matter what they are called but I would love to have a way to constanly display data that MQ is caluculating.

One application maybe to display $target(hp,per)/DeltaSeconds to get the rate the target is losing HP. This could be used for estimating heals or one last nuke. Or mabe have a 'timer' box that displays when certain actions will happen. This could a timer could be set to 0 or to # when an event like killing a mob or casting a spell happens. Then the timer will count down on the UI.

This actually does exist.. What you'd need to do is setup a loop to continually update @Variable, and then you'd setup a label like so:

<EQType>9999</EQType>
<TooltipReference>@Variable</TooltipReference>

Voila. You now have yourself

It parses the @variables and $char(whatever) etc in real time, so be creative ;)
