Change to the map refresh code?

Quick question:

I believe that the map refresh code that was CVS'd a few days ago was changed.

I assume we can change

to

to have the same refresh rate as the old code?

Also... What was done to radically change the size of eqlib.dll?

It changed from 640kb to 488kb with the latest CVS (after I removed some text that was causing compile errors)

The size is mentioned in the status thread I believe. EQLIB.DLL is now compiled with compiler optimizations. This makes it smaller, and far more efficient.

Setting the static variable won't change the map refresh rate. What you want to do is set the refresh map filter.

Before optimiztions the dll was roughly 750k

When I compiled using the optimizations, the eqlib.dl shrunk to 640kish.

CVS from about 10 minutes ago shrinks the eqlib.dll to 488k.

I eliminated a lot of redundancy and extra text strings (take up space) when I removed all the exports and GetProcAddress() stuff for the command list and PMP...
