Unzip to a brand new directory -- start completely fresh.

Could you write down all the steps you have taken from the download of the zip up to and including the error produced?

I really don't have the foggiest idea what you are doing...

Download IRC_latest.zip to C:\

Make New Folder MQ ->Unzip to MQ *after asking me to confirm some file replacement in which if I say yes...Incorrect resource.h, say no I get a new error*

Downloaded Detours Unziped to Detours, for somereason nmake does not work from command line. I dont know if you have to do it from somewhere else...

Open Macroquest.dsw -> Batch Build

Get new error Which I just posted a couple posts back.

That would be all the steps.

Unzip using subfolders. You are unzipping everything into the same directory. If you are getting file replacement messages, you are doing it wrong.

so, dont compile it while you have macroquest running... or if you have closed it, go rename your eqlib.dll in the release folder to eqjfjflib.dll and the do then compile again.

close all notepad windows, close any windows that have been opened since starting MQ, and try again.

Also do a clean before compiling to get rid of old intermediate files.
