can these macros be made into easy to use trainers?

NP we were all noobs once I remember asking for someone to make me a canni script. after I realized what it did and how to do it I started cracking. I now have a fully working IG camper O_o .. without the loot though I haven't put that in as i don't dare afk macro @ igs.. My last name is murphy.. murphy's law =\
Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
/me chuckles @ verant looking for all the Murphy accounts on EQ.

/macro filename <parameters>

for basic macros you only need to do /macro filename

Have fun and welcome to the community =)

yes in the everquest chatbox... to demo how it works: target a npc or another player then type /macro follow.mac and press enter....

It will execute the follow.mac file in your macros folder, just press esc to stop following and then do a /endmacro and press enter...

You can open follow.mac in notepad to see how its done, if you want to learn more.

you will probably want to run Telnet for connecting to your MQ server.

This is why you should run Telnet, to type in macroquest commands as the EQ Chat box might not be the safest place to enter these commands.

aye, just have to be VERY careful when using the /report command, and when petitioning... while Guides can't see your chat buffer, if it gets escalated to a GM they just might be able to.

I'm sure they don't log bad commands, though they may check for specific bad commands... *shrug*

most likely cause I did a /macro while macroquest wasn't running once and I crashed to the desktop. may have just been coincidance. but that was well over a while ago.

I never have any problems with idiots on my server and If I do I just train them instead of reporting them.

trainers?!?!?

Post by Consilium » Sat Aug 30, 2003 7:44 am

As it is seems like a lot of people use MQ. The recent patch is an example of Sony trying to disrupt the MQ population (or maybe they dont feel like changing their structers is something they have to consult the devs about here) either way a trainer... back to your original Q is insane... everyone and their mom would be using this and EQ2 would have almost everything serverside...perhaps this is already the case though...
