Anyone else having issues loading the MQ2 version of UI? Deleted entire UI folder and reloaded new download and it still won't load....

I can load it but doesn't show MQ values, I figure it will work itself out in the next patch.

Quick fix for basic.

Modify EQUITemplates.xml:

Code: Select all

	<ButtonDrawTemplate item="BDT_CheckboxTransparent">
		<Normal>A_TransparentCheckBoxNormal</Normal>
		<Disabled>A_TransparentCheckBoxNormal</Disabled>
		<PressedDisabled>A_TransparentCheckBoxPressed</PressedDisabled>
	</ButtonDrawTemplate>
	<ButtonDrawTemplate item="BDT_Radio">
		<Normal>A_RadioBtnNormal</Normal>
		<Pressed>A_RadioBtnPressed</Pressed>
		<Disabled>A_RadioBtnDisabled</Disabled>
		<PressedDisabled>A_RadioBtnPressedDisabled</PressedDisabled>
	</ButtonDrawTemplate>
=

Code: Select all

	<ButtonDrawTemplate item="BDT_CheckboxTransparent">
		<Normal>A_TransparentCheckBoxNormal</Normal>
		<Disabled>A_TransparentCheckBoxNormal</Disabled>
		<PressedDisabled>A_TransparentCheckBoxPressed</PressedDisabled>
	</ButtonDrawTemplate>
	<ButtonDrawTemplate item="BDT_CheckboxWithText">
		<NormalDecal>A_CheckBoxNormal</NormalDecal>
		<PressedDecal>A_CheckBoxPressed</PressedDecal>
		<DisabledDecal>A_CheckBoxNormalDisabled</DisabledDecal>
		<PressedDisabledDecal>A_CheckBoxPressedDisabled</PressedDisabledDecal>
	</ButtonDrawTemplate>
	<ButtonDrawTemplate item="BDT_Radio">
		<Normal>A_RadioBtnNormal</Normal>
		<Pressed>A_RadioBtnPressed</Pressed>
		<Disabled>A_RadioBtnDisabled</Disabled>
		<PressedDisabled>A_RadioBtnPressedDisabled</PressedDisabled>
	</ButtonDrawTemplate>

First time playing in 6 months. Got a new machine with Windows 7 64-bit since then. Finally found the UIFILES directory under c:\Windows\SysWOW64\UIFILES. Dropped in my Freq_di28889 directory but the UI does not load when I try to load the Skin.

Any logs I can check or any logging I can turn on to see why it is not loading?

Thanks!

rename the folder to frequency or some other normal name- I couldn't it to load either with the freq_di28889 folder name

Also, why is uifiles (dir) in c:\windows\syswow64? That's a system directory. Did you install or copy the game to c:\windows\syswow64?

Good question. I have no clue! Had a motherboard crap out. In the process did a Vista to Win7 upgrade. Of course that called for a reinstall of applications.

A bunch of stuff in that SysWOW64 directory that should not be there. Within the next 6 to 8 months I will be getting a new machine with a scratch reload of everything and it will all get cleaned up then. ;)

Thanks!

Same here, it's not loading. No error message in game. The only thing I found was the Dbg.txt shows 00094:Failed to open C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\GlobalDRK_chr.s3d.GlobalDRK_chr.s3d. Not sure if that is related. Should I be looking somewhere else for a specific problem?

Was generating a UIErrors log for me, I fixed the issues listed in it and it loaded fine.
