looking for computer advice

Post by idoit2 » Thu Aug 12, 2010 8:40 pm

Looking to get back into playing everquest after a long break. My current computer wont run it. I have about 1000 to blow on a new one. I'm looking for suggestions on weather to build one or just buy one that's already built.
Thanks,
idoit2

*IF* you buy the parts you can get more bang for your buck - but - be aware it takes time and there is some slight risk of messing up.

*IF* you buy complete box, head over to one of the custom build spot like iBuyPower and spec something out. They will charge but I think they aren't too badly overpriced.

Make sure you get a real video card though. Anything priced $70-$100 should be fine to run eq. I'd suggest you go to google "Toms hardware" and look at his monthly build guides and best gaming video cards for the buck
