May I ask why? What use would this have with a macro, if your going to request something give an example of how you would use it.

I guess you could then scan through the spellbook for the lowest mana cost so you can work on the skill.

Skill training

Code: Select all

/varset a(1,0) "spell0"
.
.
.
/varset a(1,5) "spell4"

/for l0 0 to 4
/if $char(skill,$spell("$a(1,$l0)",skill))<;maxskill
    /cast "$a(1,$l0)"
/next l0
btw, will offer many 'You da MAN!!'s to anyone who can tell me how to display a "&LT" or "&GT" within a bbcode block.

I looked into this a bit today and I think the only way to determine the information you wanted would be to have a text database of the spells and their "type" that could be loaded into MQ's memory (ie, the itemDB list).

There is already a database that could be used at Lucy's; however, it contains a MASSIVE amount of information which wouldn't really be needed.

However, if you want to make a text file which each of the spell names and their "type" (0 for alteration, 1 for abjuration, etc... or something to that effect) like this:

Code: Select all

Spellname 1
Spellname 1
Spellname 3
....
Then, something could probably be added to give MQ the functionality that you desire.

Tht info is already in a text file "spell_en.txt" and the type of spell is probably (at least for memorized spells) in memory as well.
