For what its worth, /petition does not send 10 lines (or any) to the server, the only way to do that is through /report. As proof, the instructions on how to properly complain about someone harassing you (through tells, text, not training/KSing) is to first scroll to the offending text, then use /re...

thread hijack on.... Why is it people think Sony has logs of everything that appears on your screen? Ok, forget the "everything" part and lets settle down just a tad, lets think about tells. Who here thinks every tell you get or send is on a sony log somewhere -- stand up. SIT DOWN, think ...

EQLib compilation questions

I'm able to compile now, so I'm ready to start playing, but have two questions if anyone would be kind enough to answer. (Erm, three questions ;)). First... if I am only changing EQLib, do I need to re-link MacroQuest against the new .lib file, assuming I'm not adding or removing any exported symbol...

I used this tool to do a conversion and the tool completed without error. I compiled in VC6, and get all kinds of errors in compiling; my dev system is not the one I'm posting on so I'm not pasting in the errors at this time. I haven't removed the PRECOMP_VC7_TOBEREMOVED value yet for two reasons --...

Thanks much!

I see that there is already such a macro in the distribution :P When I originally posted I wasn't even considering a macro for the task so never looked there. This gives me what I need though :)

If you don't want to patch, just start "eqgame patchme" and it'll skil the patch process. (I know, you'd think it would be "nopatchme" or something, but there ya have it.) If you want to skip patching in order to play an old ui binary, forget it... too much has changed in the dat...

Replace the entire contents of your eqgame.ini file with this. You will know you are in the right file if the data there looks similar to what is here.

wishlist idea

I would like an enhanced /follow command. /follow out of the box only permits you to follow pc's you are grouped with. it would be nice to be able to /follow anyone, even npcs.

Thank you very much for the response.

I disabled telnet, enabled client version checking, and swapped in the noperl dll and am up running now. I am not too interested in macroing itself, so I think this means I'm right where I want to be.

Thanks again!

clueless

I have installed the current (20030111) version, I have dropped .dist from the .ini filename, I have replaced eqgame.ini in its entirety with the contents of the post linked in the quicklinks bar. I have even changed ClientOverride to 1. I have ActivePerl installed. I am unable to get any verificati...
