glad to see

Without sounding too "chick-flick," Im glad that, as a community, the response to this thread wasnt NUKE and BURN. I posted something vaguely similar (though not as blatant a request, just an interest in maybe possibly working on pp macros myself) and got blasted back to next year. As a gr...

Whatever happened to Trunk Vegitah's board?

Awhile back I used to keep tabs on a totally different type of board managed by Trunk Vegitah that has nothing to do with MQ's scope and purpose. (that last part of the sentence is to disassociate this MQ board with the one I am referring to).

Just curious as to what happned with that whole project.

thank you.

Thank you Lucky777 and the others who supported me. The more posts people make to this thread the more perspective I get. Someone a lot earlier noticed that I merely said i was "intrigued" by the pp macros and that I wasnt trying to bring the community down. At least someone can see ...

understood

Subject officially closed. lol. I do plan to write my own. I use Perl and SQL among others on a daily basis so for me writing something like this would be fun. The harder the better. For example a 4000 line block that would answer any question to the lvl to which it would respond to any tells withou...

Looks like I got flamed on another thread.

I guess a few bad apples spoil everyone's fun.

Thanks EQaddict for being hospitable.

exactly

Hopefully this post wont get this thread locked. I'd just like to say thank you to Rage...who very adeptly summed up my feelings on the usage of the plat/merchant macros. We all, I believe, agree that poor/greedy/unprudent usage of these macros is bad and the attacks on MQ based on such behavior are...

ok lets go point by point...

Lets go through each point like a 3rd grader. Point, the first: Im not a l33ch DOES NOT contradict the the request I made for several reasons. a) The fact that I said I didnt want to be a leech, shows that I know leeching is bad. b) The fact that I that I didnt want to be a leech shows that I dont ...

ouch

I realize you have a lot of pent up anger at the people who have misused MacroQuest... but that is no reason to flame me. Instead of flying off the handle, you could educate someone that such a request isnt the right thing to ask for. Since I have the tradeskills, I have several ideas as to which o...

Thanks

Thanks for the greeting. Good to know the lay of the land. I do plan on using some of the more "plat-related" macros, however I agree that the automation of the day-to-day droll functions wont continue to zap fun out of the game. As soon as I get up to date on how to use all this Ill be co...

New but eager

Greetings Im new to these boards, but am an IT/Software guy by trade. I cant wait to really learn this prog and Xylobot...so that I can contribute to making EverQuest FUN again. As you'll read in my sig below, I for one, think that if leveling were FUN and the joy of the game didnt dissipate toward...
