Re: NEW: Application That Cleans MacroQuest2 Junk Files

The bad word filter triggers on V B. It's because there were a lot of people who came in and asked why they couldn't compile with their copy of V*B6.

[Am I in trouble now for bypassing the filter?]

Re: possible bug

It's an EQ "feature". There's a hard limit on the number of labels that can appear on the screen.

At least, that was the answer when I last looked in 2008.

Re: MQ2 for dummies

(for some reason I have to wait for the game to load before I start MQ2 or the game won't start Start Everquest with "eqgame.exe patchme" rather than calling everquest.exe. Launchpad scans your process list and reports back to Sony. MQ2Main.dll kills Launchpad if it detects that it is bei...

Re: Em I in the right place?

There is no set price. Although I can't speak for the active devs, I'm sure $30 would be more than enough (and appreciated).

Re: Em I in the right place?

Lax was involved in the development of Macroquest2. Lax is now the author of Innerspace and ISBoxer. Lax put the update about ISBoxer on the home page (call it an "ad" if you want). Using Macroquest is against the Terms Of Service for Everquest. If SOE catches you, they can ban you. Inners...

In all honesty I'm not trying to be rude here, however your statement is just the sort of fuel that feeds the D.I.Y. fire that makes me want to script this stuff myself. I can either teach myself to fish or buy my dinner from you... I don't really have a problem helping you. I actually get a kick f...

Re: moveutils.h

I'm not going to get in to a debate about licensing and whether plugins are derived code as defined by the GPL, but I will point out just because you can do something doesn't mean that the people who can support you have to support you. The header and instructions on how to use it are in the VIP for...

The EQ client has some functions in it that check the contents of specific memory segments to make sure they contain what they are supposed to contain. MQ2 detours those memory checking functions so that the EQ servers get the answer that they expect to get rather than allowing the default EQ functi...

Since MQ2Melee and MQ2Cast are both VIP plugins, you'll probably get better response posting in either the MQ2Melee thread or in the VIP::Help forum.

The install on my hard drive is 1.1GB. A terabyte drive is about $75. You shouldn't even notice the space for Visual C++ Express and the SDK. If you do, uninstall it after you've built MQ2.

GMs that hide themselves cannot be detected by a client side macro since the GMs presence is never sent to the client.
