plugin struct utilization::??

I am trying to better understand what takes place when I use something like this in my plugin: ((PCHARINFO)pCharData)->heading I understand the concept, mostly. The first segment being the struct itself, the next being the defined location in eqgame.exe's memory. and heading being of course the name...
